As 2011 draws to an end, art lovers across the region will soon be gearing up for the next instalment of Art Dubai, scheduled for March 2012. Taking place at Madinat Jumeriah from 21 – 24 March, swaths of exhibitions and events will take place around the city and the region as part of the fare.

Art Dubai has recently announced the artists that will be featured as residents in the three month build up to the event. Coming from across Asia and the Middle East, Hadeyah Badri, Fayçal Baghriche, Zeinab Al Hashimi, Magdi Mostafa, Nasir Nasrallah, and Deniz Uster will be showcased.

Of the resident artists being featured, Bo House’s favourites include Zeinab Al Hashemi and Deniz Uster. Only just starting her career in the field, Al Hashemi is a young visual artist, specialising in multi-media design. She draws her inspiration from elements of popular culture and believes that art should spread cultural awareness. The installation, video and new media, Turkish artist, Uster, is also one to watch. Based out of Glasgow, her work features half organic, half machine like creations, reflecting the differences between Anatolian and Scottish culture.

With many more to watch, whilst the team at Bo House would like to see all the works in their entirety, we will be doing our research and checking out our favourites. For more info on the fare and to do the same check out www.artdubai.ae

We also welcome any artists who would like to use our walls to exhibit their own work as part of Art Dubai. For more information, drop us a line with your contact details and we will be sure to be in touch!
